About Ward: Beechwood

Saltersgill, is a residential area within the Beechwood ward situated in the town of Middlesbrough in the borough of Middlesbrough and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. The local school is Newlands Secondary school. There is also St Marys Sixth Form College. The local pub is the Saltersgill Hotel.

Easterside is a small housing estate towards the geographical centre of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England, with a population of around 3,200. It is bounded to the east by Marton Road A172 and to the south by Ladgate Lane B1380. Much of its housing stock was built in the early to mid-1950s in an open plan style with few high walls or fences and has large green spaces in common areas. The largest of these areas is to be found in the centre of the estate near the church and what is now a fenced play area. The style of architecture is broadly similar to other examples in the Netherfields, Pallister Park, Beechwood and Saltersgill estates. The latter two of these are immediately adjacent to both Easterside and each other.
